Organic/Inorganic Hybrids
KiON Defense Technologies, Inc. (KDT) polysilazane resins are reactive with a number of organic resins including epoxies, isocyanates, phenolics, and silicones. Depending on the application, the addition of polysilazanes to organic resins can have many beneficial effects. For instance, polysilazanes will increase the thermal stability, maintain mechanical properties, decrease viscosity, and increase adhesive strength in many of these organic/inorganic hybrid systems. Such hybrids are suitable for a variety of applications including adhesives, coatings, PMCs, etc.
Benefits of Using KDT Polysilazanes for Hybrid Systems
- Increased thermal stability
- Retention of mechanical properties
- Lower viscosity
- Easy-to-use
