PMC Matrix Resin   

KDT PolyTem 1800 finds utility as a “hybridizing” resin component in PMC applications (c/epoxy, glass/ urethane, etc.).  PMCs based on KDT PolyTem 1800 have improved thermal properties as well as greater hardness, higher strength, and higher modulus.  In such applications, KDT PolyTem 1800 hybrid PMCs are non-burning and do not generate smoke.  Incorporation of KDT PolyTem 1800 into conventional PMCs increases the thermal properties of such composites while maintaining excellent mechanical properties.  Due to the high char formation of KDT PolyTem 1800 polymer hybrids in a direct flame situation, polymer hybrids prepared using KDT PolyTem 1800 can exceed ASTM E-84 Flame Tunnel standards as “Class A” materials in both Flame Spread and Generated Smoke.
