Ambient-Cure Coating Resin   

KDT HTA 1500 is a specially formulated coating grade organopolysilazane resin which enables the formulation of air-dry coatings capable of withstanding operating temperatures of 900 °C or above. This coating resin is supplied as a 100% "solids" liquid of low viscosity. After coating, the resin is dry-to-touch within 30 minutes, and the coating is ready-for-use after 2 hours.
KDT Ambient Cure Coating Resin can be blended with a variety of pigments such as metal powders (zinc, aluminum, stainless steel), ceramic powders (silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, silicon nitride), or the like. Such compositions can be formulated with or without solvent and can be applied by dipping, spraying, or brushing onto a variety of substrates - metal, glass, ceramic, polymeric. For ultra-high temperature formulations, the coated part is then heated to at least 450° C to promote conversion of the polymer to ceramic. Depending on the exact formulation, the resulting coatings are then durable at temperatures up to 900 °C.
