Automotive and Military Vehicles

There are a wide variety of applications which require high temperature, corrosion resistant coatings for engine and engine components.  In such applications, KiON Defense Technnologies (KDT) polymer resins function exceptionally well and when formulated properly provide thermal protection against high temperature oxidation and thermal insulation.  This allows for increased efficiency and engine performance.  In addition, coatings based on KDT polymers also provide corrosion resistance.  In piston coating applications, KDT polymers reduce surface temperature and increase combustor chamber efficiency. 

In addition to high temperature coating resins for automotive applications, KDT also provides clear coat formulations and fully formulated coating systems for military vehicles.  These coatings are easy to apply (spray, dip, or brush techniques), ambient curable, and provide protection against corrosion.  Moreover, the coatings have a low surface energy which causes water to shed and allow for a “self-cleaning” effect.  The coatings may also be applied to windows to improve visibility in extreme conditions.
